I have a new client that is turning 11 very soon and she wanted invites for her party! I had done some invites for her cousin just a few weeks ago that she adored but of course hers needs to be a bit different. She wanted the same invite but hers to be green and with ladybugs! Corpse Bride Halloween wedding theme

I was approached by a bride getting married on Halloween 2010. They are doing a Corpse Bride theme for their wedding and already have the cake, dress, and guestbook/pen picked out. She asked if I would be willing to work on some invitations for them and of course I jumped at the chance! I came up with a design for her and also put together a storyboard to show her how the invitations can tie everything they like together…and a few little things to add to it ;) Here is the storyboard I presented to her…enjoy!

Ok...so I was told by a very imformed person (my best friend, mother of 6 including 2 pre-teen girls) that if I had a Hannah Montana -ish invitation then I needed to have a Miley Cyrus -ish invitation also...because she is as popular if not more so t...han her character...and her style is a bit different...so here is my Miley invitation...

I had a client contact me saying she loved the pirate/mermaid invite I had done and would like something similar for her twins birthday. The party they were having was a pool party so she wanted it more of an “under the sea” party with the pirates and mermaids included. So I took my theme and modified it to include all the cute creatures of the deep…enjoy!

A sneak peek…

I am so excited to be working on this project! I got an email from a woman who was interested in the Breakfast at Tiffany’s invitations but wants to take it to the next level. Her shower theme is Old Hollywood Glam with a modern twist…

The twist is THIS is the venue! Is that not the most FABULOUS thing you have ever seen! PERFECT for a girls Glam Spa Party! (Am I invited?) So the colors they are using are Tiffany Blue, Pink, & Pearl (not the typical colors you think of when you think Old Hollywood)…but that is what makes it fun!

So I have been working on the rough drafts today and am so excited about the way they are turning out that I want to give you a sneak peek of the deliciousness that is to come! I can’t wait to see what the finished product ends up looking like with the metallic pocketfolds and pearlized paper…they are going to be AMAZING!

This invitation was for a dual party where the boy wanted pirates and the girl wanted mermaids. It took some work and a lot of patience but I think I finally got everything working together and in the right spots :) What do you think?

Cowboy Woody invitation

This client is a photographer that wanted a Toy Story theme and had taken pics of her son with his Woody doll and in his full cowboy assemble. I couldn’t do a “Toy Story” invite per say so we played with the cowboy theme and it turned out beautifully.

A bittersweet design – my niece Addison

This design is bittersweet for me. This is my niece Addison…my brother-in-law’s little girl. My BIL and his ex-girlfriend don’t get along and she isn’t allowing his family to see the baby…so even though I am very happy she is here and healthy and I love her very much, this may be the closest I ever get to her :( This design was never printed…it was more of a therapy for me.
