Pirate Party

I just realized I have been neglectful in my craftylilmomma duties and haven’t posted pictures from my son Owen’s birthday party (bad mommy, slaps self on hand).  He requested a “Pirates of the Caribbean / Lego” party and I had a blast putting everything together for him.  Now I’m not one of these moms that can spend a months salary on birthday parties but it still turned out awfully cute if I do say so myself.

Most of the accessories I used were purchases from Rhode Island Novelty or from Oriental Trading.  I got the banner, plates, and treasure chest from Hobby Lobby.

Calling all Dragon Trainers!

My son Owen decided he wanted a How To Train Your Dragon birthday party this year…a fact that shocked me considering he is a Thomas the Train NUT and that has been his theme for years.  I was happy for the change and had a lot of fun designing this invitation.  I think it turned out quite cute!

Choo Choo & Toot Toot Train birthday invitation

My Owen is a train FREAK.  He owns everything Thomas the Train you can think of including sheets for his bed.  So it seems only natural that he have a train birthday party!  Here are his actual invitations…I can’t believe my baby will be 3!

Baby shower gift for a friend...

I made this name plaque for a friend of mine's baby shower. I think it turned out nice. It's 8x10 and I am going to have it framed in a dark brown simple frame. This is the first time I've made one like this with all the different patterns. Let me know what you think!
